Streetlights in Chester 16x8
The Gallery at Maple and Main has been open for 2 months! In that short time we have sold 18 paintings of various subjects, mediums, styles, and prices. They said it couldn't be done. This wonderful gallery is a collaboration of 33 fine artists, many have national or international recognition. There is variety, and yet the abstracts complement the representational art in this stunning salon style gallery in the heart of Chester, CT.

Well, the current show is going down... Sunday is the last day that you can view this show. That means a new show is going up! Artists will be dropping off new work on Sunday and the gallery hanging committee will work very hard to have the gallery ready for Wednesday, which is the next business day, and the first day that the new show will be open to the public.

Friday Dec 3rd is the official 'opening' of the new show, complete with entertainment (carolers on the porch), food and other refreshments. The town will be closing off main street so the pedestrians can take control. Hope you can come for this Chester favorite!

In the peaceful village of Sondrio, Italy, in the foothills of the Alps, government officials and townspeople alike gathered to honor Prem Rawat’s efforts to encourage world peace: a peace that begins with each individual.
On the invitation of the Sondrio Town Hall and under the patronage of the Province of Sondrio, the Lombardy Region, and the Ministry of Justice, Prem Rawat arrived in this northern city on June 22, 2010. In a private meeting of the Sondrio City Council, officials graciously awarded him the title “Ambassador of Peace in the World” and presented him with a symbolic gift from the nearby city of Tirano as well as a plaque from Lombardy adorned with the official symbol of the region, the Camuna Rose
